Shockwave Therapy for Equine Practice
Non-invasive therapy approach designed for the equine athlete. Quiet, mobile and reliable.
How it works
Clinical Indications
Resources for Clinicians
Focused piezo shockwave delivers acoustic energy precisely into the target tissue, triggering the body’s own repair response through mechanotransduction. It is used in equine practice for tendon and ligament injury, joint disease, back pain, and bone healing. Non-invasively, at clinically relevant depth, and without sedation in most patients.
Focused PiezoWave shockwave has been part of equine sports medicine since the late 1990s. PiezoWave2T VET brings focused shockwave into the equine workflow with highly variable energy intensity, adjustable penetration depths, and a mobile system that can operate from a soft travel bag.
Specific penetration depths
The FB10G6 penetrates from 0-100 mm, provides site specific treatments of superficial distal limb joints to deep muscle of the caudal neck or sacral region.
Sedation rarely needed
Quiet operation and adjustable delivery support a safer experience for both horse and therapist.
Therapy that travels
The 30 lbs. control unit can run from the soft travel bag, therapy sources and gel pads are protected in a small hard case.
29 energy levels for the equine caseload
Adjustable intensity supports treatment across sensitive joints, acute and chronic soft-tissue injuries, bone, and deeper muscle targets.
